(May 9, 2025) Fayetteville, Arkansas - After competing at Arkansas State University two weeks ago, the Bucks headed to the University of Arkansas after finals this week for their last regular season meet of 2025. The Bucks have competed well and will have a pair of representatives at Nationals next week in Hutchinson, Kansas.

The Bucks got the day started in the 400 meter dash with three competitors. Jequavious Mckenzie (Camden, AR) led the way with a 49.96. It was good enough for 9th overall, followed by Desmond Thompson (Fort Smith, AR) and Beau Reed (Moore, OK) in 12th and 13th. 

Alfred Rodriguez (Dalhart, TX) and Yermy Gonzalez (Horatio, AR) held their usual battle in the 800 meter run. Rodriguez won the battle with a 1:56.87, while Gonzalez had a 1:56.91. Noah Burns (Weatherford, TX) also ran in the race and finished with a 2:07.39. 

The evening ended with the 1500 meter run for Gonzalez, Rodriguez, and Burns. The Bucks finished with times of 4:18.54, 4:33.59, and 4:35.32. 

Alfred Rodriguez and Yermy Gonzalez will compete next week at Nationals.
