Ladies Sweep North Arkansas

(April 11, 2026) Harrison, Arkansas - After a pair of run-rule wins on Thursday at Cummings-Cecil Field, the Bucks hit the road for North Arkansas on Saturday to conclude the series. The games went about the same on Saturday with UARM taking both games 11-2 and 15-0 to sweep the series. The ladies are now 31-9 overall and 19-1 in Region 2. 

The Bucks scored 26 runs on 27 hits, including 7 doubles and a home run. Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) led the Bucks with 5 hits, 4 RBIs, and scored 4 runs with 2 stolen bases on Saturday. Kensley Allen (Muskogee, OK) also had 4 RBIs and 3 of the 7 doubles were hers. Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) drove in 3 RBIs on 3 hits that included a solo home run in the first game. She now has 14 home runs on the season. 

All of the Bucks roster was able to get some playing time in the wins, including Breanna Hymel (Fayetteville, AR) with 3 RBIs on Saturday with 1 hit. UARM's substitutions went 8 for 15 at the plate in the doubleheader. Overall, the ladies hit .443 on the day with a .500 on-base percentage, including taking 7 free bases from the Lady Pioneers.

In the circle, Lindsey Smyth (Mansfield, TX) got the start and lasted 4.0 innings. Smyth (2-0) gave up 2 runs on 2 hits and struck out 3 in her second start of the season. Abigail Koppein (Mena, AR) started in the second game and went the distance. Koppein (10-2) gave up no runs on 2 hits while striking out 7. As a staff, the ladies struck out 15 on Saturday and only walked 5, and North Arkansas recorded only 4 hits in the doubleheader.

Now, UARM turns the page and will face #2 Murray State College this coming week. The first doubleheader takes place in Tishomingo, OK on Thursday before concluding at McMillan Park on Saturday.
