Ladies Compete at Stephen F. Austin

(March 3, 2026) Nacogdoches, Texas - The Bucks last competed on March 14th at Ouachita Baptist University before taking spring break off. UARM hit the road this week for the Carl Kight Invitational at Homer Bryce Stadium, home of Stephen F. Austin. The meet was held on Thursday evening for the distance carnival and concluded on Friday. 

On Friday, Ellie Taylor (Atkins, AR) started the meet for UARM with the 1500 meter run. Out of 50 runners, she would finish 44th with a 5:35.62. The time would be a one second personal record for the freshmen. For the ladies, Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) was up next in the 5000 meter run. The sophomore is on the hunt for her second national qualification, but she would come up just short with an 18:46.33. The time was good enough for 23rd out of 44 competitors. 

UARM's meet continued on Friday afternoon that started with the 100 meter dash for Tyia Allen (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The freshmen set a new personal record with a 12.69 that was good enough for 26th overall. Her day concluded in the 200 meter dash with a 27.37 that placed her 43rd out of 59. The time was exactly her previous personal record. 

Katelynn Foster (Mena, AR) and Taylor each ran the 800 meter run. Taylor placed 46th with a time of 2:42.92, while Foster ran a 2:57.95 to place 50th. 

The Bucks will run again next Friday, April 10th, at the University of Oklahoma.
